Continuing with our beach themed rest and relaxation we moved to Haad Yao on Koh Phangan for what was supposed to be 7 days of beach time but ended up being extended 12 days. What a great little spot this was. There wasn't a whole lot going on but there was great food and a great beach...we don't need much more than that.

So we spent the 12 days eating and sitting on the beach. Most mornings we slept in and then at brunch at Pura Vida. You should definitely check out this place if you're ever in the area. The food was sooo delicious!! Especially their Portuguese custard tarts; they were ah-mazing...my mouth is watering just thinking about them.

After our delicious brunch we'd head to the beach. The sand here was like white powder and the water was so clear you could see all the little fish swimming around your feet. There was some great snorkelling off the beach - the coral wasn't that colourful but there were fish galore! Just when you'd think 'I've seen enough, I'm heading back in' you turn around and see a massive school of fish and stay in longer. The boys also got creative and made a cricket bat from an empty bottle and a stick so there was a game of beach cricket happening nearly every day.

We also did a trip to Water World which is a bunch of inflatables on the beach and not much else. It was like that TV show Wipe Out and I wouldn't have thought it would be as hard as what it was. I felt it for the next 3 days.

While its hard to say goodbye to the beach lifestyle we need to keep moving. Next stop - Bangkok! And if you're an 8 or 12 year old boy you'd be in hysterics now because its just such a funny word....
